For the Players

For most, the 2010 high school soccer season starts tonight. For some, it started Tuesday night. I want to reach out to the players and give them a couple words to think about.

I know you guys worked your butts off to get here. I know the sacrifices you make to be the best at the sport you love. The beautiful game.
The 2010 freshman class is a very special class indeed and every team you are a part of is fortunate to have you. Not only for the talent you possess but for the contagious work ethic you bring. For your ability to light a fire under your teammates when the chips are down. For the never give up, never back down, never lose faith attitude you instill in your team. Tonight may be the first time you will take the field in a different color. Regardless, we know you will give nothing less than everything you have for your team. For we know your roots run deep.

We will be there with each and every Sodium player. If not in the stands, in your hearts. We know that no matter what color you wear, red, purple, orange, blue or white, underneath you are true to black. So when you take the field tonight or in the future, look across the pitch, chances are you will see a teammate warming up. Give her a wave or a hug.
Because we all know what happens when the whistle blows.....

Have an outstanding season lady warriors.

Behind the lights and in the background of all the screaming students, you will faintly hear the whisper of your loyal fans; GO SODIUM!!
