Can you feel it.........

Now that the high school season is half over I've heard from many of the girls that, even though they are having fun, they are getting antsy to don the black and get back to Sodium. This season has been fun. A time to 'hang loose', to play wild and free and not really worry about silly things like whistles, yellow cards or red cards! LOL! But mainly it's about keeping your skills sharp, making new friends, playing under the lights and representing your school. Oh the memories...

October 24th starts the first Sunday practices which will run through November.

November 18th - first Sodium team dinner @ McMillans.

Can you feel the excitement in the air? Can you feel the energy quietly building? I know the girls can. They are itching to get back on the pitch and start to train. To push each other and themselves. To take their games to the next level. To defend their titles and fight for new ones. This year is going to be something special. I use the term 'Epic' on occasion. But that is the only word I can think to describe what this 2011 season will be about. The talent on this team will be rivaled by none. The tenacity, the willingness to sacrifice, the heart and fire in these players will drive this team to new levels of greatness. The bond these girls have will pull and push each and every one of them to heights even they didn't know they were capable of.

Can you feel it....

GO SODIUM!!

And as with every great team there is going to be turnover. Sadly, at the end of last season we saw several of our friends leave to embark on new journeys, to open new chapters in their lives. To those girls you will always remain lady warriors. Thank you for the sacrifices you made, the tears, the victories and the memories. Thank you for making the legend that is Sodium what it is today. You will always have a spot on our bench and in our hearts.
